Notes on Player Eligibility Sept 2009
Ratings: Matthew Parsons and Robert Sutcliffe have decided to register with Calderdale as their primary club.
Calderdale holding their registration means they can only play for Calderdale in competitions that Calderdale have entered {Examiner and Bill Lumley Rapidplay}.
They ARE eligible, however, to play for one other club {Huddersfield in this case} in competitions that Calderdale have NOT entered {Watkinson, TeamKO}.
The relevant part of the Consitution & Rules is:
(B) PLAYER REGISTRATION
4. A player may only play for the Club which holds his registration UNLESS the player’s Club
does not enter a competition. In this case (only) the player may play for one other Club in
that competition.

The rule below {applying to the Watkinson} is also important.
6. Rule applying to clubs that enter 2 or more teams in the Scratch Competition.
Once a player has played on one of the top three boards for the A team, he is then no longer
eligible to play for any other team in the scratch.
Huddersfield Knights is classed as the A team, Bishops as the other team.
Using Robert Sutcliffe and Matthew Parsons as examples, they could play for BOTH the Knights AND the Bishops provided they do not play on one of the top three boards for the Knights.
The Rule also applies to Netherton 1 {A team} and Netherton 2. No other clubs have 2 teams in the scratch.

In the Examiner Handicap
5. A player may only play for one team in any one season in the Examiner Handicap
Competition, Bill Lumley Rapidplay and the Team Challenge Knock-Out.
