Knights, West Bretton and Netherton 1 have qualified for the Watkinson Finals { Championship Section for the Watkinson Trophy}- If Holme Valley get at least a point against Netherton 1 on Wed 17th Feb then they join them. 
However, if they lose to Netherton 1, and Wakefield defeat Bishops then Wakefield will qualify instead.

{Please note that this Rapidplay Grading Summary has been calculated as follows: 
Rapidplay Grades for results for 2004-2009 were in OLD grades. 
The averages for these rapidplay grades have been calculated and then converted into NEW grades. 
Then these have been added to grades of Rapidplay games played this season, 2010, to produce overall Rapidplay Grades for 2004-2010. 
The number of games these are based on is also listed.} 
Please note that these are Handicap matches, normal ratings are to be used {as YCF have not published a Rapidplay Grading list}. 
Each player has 25 minutes for the whole game. FIDE Rapidplay rules apply. 
Player eligibility : Note that Robert Sutcliffe and Matthew Parsons have primary registration with Calderdale so they are eligible for Calderdale, 
but NOT any other team in the Rapidplay. See  Notes on Player Eligibility Sept09 
 
Triple Tie possible in the Examiner Handicap 
Rooks just need a point against Holme Valley to win the title, but If Holme Valley beat Rooks, and Netherton A beat Wakefield there will be a triple tie at the top of the Examiner Handicap. 
 
COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS 
(Sunday - March 14th @ Valley Parade, Bradford FC from 1pm) 
PLAYERS REQUIRED. PLEASE CONTACT THE APPROPRIATE CO-ORDINATOR. 
The zonal round run by the NCCU will be based on a new format of a Jamboree. 
Yorkshire intend to provide 7 teams ... 
Open (16 players) and 12 players in the following U180, U160, U140 (2 teams), U120 & U100 based on new ECF grades.

It has been decided that the county will put out 3 teams in the U140, U120 & U100 based on a junior/adult mix that will give up and coming youngsters a feel of the competition and a chance of long play (1pm - 5pm ... time control proposed 40 moves 1hr 45 + 15 mins) at this level in a large team. We are aiming for a 50/50 split if possible of junior/adults. If any junior or senior player is definitely available and is keen to be considered for selection please get in touch with John Fozard in the first instance (click on my email address at the top of the page). 
 
Stephen Burton is captain of a second U140 team based around the players that played in the U125 team (old grade) last year and will be made up of senior players
